 They did not just roll in their amps and guitars into the studio.They rolled in TONS of irresistible hooks and instantly memorable melodies. And there is no doubt that they mastered the classic three minute pop song. Not just one , but at least thirty to choose from. Songwriting inspired by the giants of the most creative period in modern history. Brian Wilson, Buddy Holly or Elvis Costello are some of the influences you will hear when you listen to Shawny Scott's songs, but tight performances make it much more an equal achievement by the individual talents of the group members. Finally a band where guitars do the talking too.... The hard part was limiting their first album to just ten songs that will leave us craving for more.... But - luckily - they offer us two extra tracks on the 5.1 surround sound version. Old school quality with new school technology. This is going to be an album that will not go away soon.... |
